Quoting from "Thanks for the Memories"

This is quoted from "Thanks for the Memories" by Cecelia Adhern and i found it really meaningful. This is part of the conversation while the lead's dad was chatting with her:
"Well, even a garden grows stranglers, love. It grows them naturally, all by itself. They creep up and choke the plants that are growing from the very same soil as they are. We each have our demons, our self-destruct button. Even in gardens. Pretty as they may be. If you don't potter, you don't notice them."
I really agree with this! We very often dont' evaluate ourselves and deal with our "self-destruct" button. "If you don't potter, you don't notice them", if you don't look into your own life and make amendments and right decisions, you won't notice your self-destruct areas until crisis happens. But why wait for crisis? 'Potter' your life =) And one thing is that don't always try to 'potter' the lives of others (in other words, gossip) when your own life is in the a mess. People have eyes to see. If you cannot be an example, then your words hit nothing. I want to 'potter' my life and stick close to God! Because to me, God can help me, teach me and bring me higher with understanding and conviction. Conviction is really important! I don't want to change without conviction. If not i will just keep 'pottering' the same old issue over and over and over again until the ants grow into size of elephants!
